Learn how to connect your wallet, participate in raffles, and understand how winners are selected.
Getting Started
1Create or Connect Your Wallet
First, you'll need a Web3 wallet to interact with avRaffle. Popular options include:
- MetaMask (browser extension or mobile)
- Phantom (mobile wallet)
- Any Ethereum-compatible wallet
Download and install your preferred wallet, then create a new account or import an existing one.
2Switch to Base Network
avRaffle operates on the Base network. You need to configure your wallet to use this network:
Network Name: Base
Chain ID: 8453
RPC URL: https://mainnet.base.org
Most wallets will automatically prompt you to add Base when you first connect to avRaffle.
3Connect to avRaffle
Visit avRaffle and click the "Connect Wallet" button in the top right corner. Select your wallet provider and approve the connection request.
Once connected, your wallet address will be displayed in the navigation bar.
Participating in Raffles
1Browse Available Raffles
Navigate to the Raffles dashboard from the navigation menu. You'll see all active raffles with details about:
- Ticket price in ETH
- Maximum tickets available
- Current prize pool
- Time remaining until raffle ends
- Potential winnings
2Purchase Tickets
Click on a raffle to view full details, then specify how many tickets you want to purchase. Each ticket costs the displayed ETH amount.
Click "Buy Tickets" and approve the transaction in your wallet. You'll pay the ticket price multiplied by the number of tickets, plus network fees.
💡 Tip: You can purchase multiple tickets to increase your chances of winning. Each ticket is independent.
3Track Your Tickets
Visit your Profile page to see all raffles you've participated in, tickets purchased, and pending results. All transaction history is recorded on-chain.
How Winners Are Selected
Random Selection Process
Winners are selected using cryptographically secure randomness executed on-chain. This ensures:
- Fairness: Every ticket has an equal chance of winning
- Transparency: The selection is verifiable on-chain
- Immutability: Results cannot be changed or manipulated
What Happens After the Raffle Ends
1. Raffle Conclusion
When the raffle reaches its end time, it can no longer accept new ticket purchases.
2. Winner Selection
The smart contract executes the random selection using on-chain randomness. This happens automatically through a transaction.
3. Prize Distribution
The winner receives their prize automatically transferred to their wallet. You can see the results on the Winners page.

✓ Keep your seed phrase safe
Never share your wallet's seed phrase with anyone, including avRaffle team.
✓ Verify contract addresses
Always double-check you're on the official avRaffle website before connecting your wallet.
✓ Understand gas fees
Gas fees vary based on network congestion. Budget for these costs when buying tickets.
✓ Read raffle details carefully
Understand the ticket price, total supply, and prize distribution before participating.
